Digital orthophoto (DOF) is a georeferenced digital image of a part of the earth's surface of certain dimensions that has the characteristics of orthogonal projection, obtained by orthorectification of digital aerial photogrammetric images, digital satellite images or images obtained by other remote sensing methods. Digital orthophoto is a digital topographic basemap that has all the information registered on the image since it was made (far more information compared to classic topographic plans or maps) but also all the measurement properties of topographic plans and maps of the appropriate level of detail. Digital orthophoto based on aerial photogrammetric and satellite imaging data for the territory of the Republic of Serbia was produced in resolutions of 10 cm, 20 cm, 30 cm, 40 cm, 0.5 m, 1.5 m and 2.5 m. The issuance of orthophotos is regulated Law on Republic Administrative Taxes which regulates the amount of the fee for services provided by the Republic Geodetic Authority.
The map of the basic land cover is a presentation of the classified content of biophysical phenomena on the Earth's surface. CB20 is used to create topographic maps in the scale of 1: 20 000, 1: 25 000, 1: 50 000, 1: 100 000 and 1: 250 000. Cartographic Base 1: 250 000 is a set of entities that have modeled natural and artificial objects on the earth's surface, and which meet the conditions for display in the scale of 1: 250 000 with data on their geospatial position, classification and other attributes.
